As the popularity of veganism continues to grow, you might be reconsidering your lifestyle and reaching for dairy- and meat-free options. But it’s also important to look closely at your beauty bounty since it’s an industry that traditionally relies heavily on animal testing and animal derivatives. If a brand is listed as “not cruelty-free” in our database, you can rest assured that their products were tested on animals in recent years. We contact brands directly with our questions in order to get their full animal testing policy. If brands answer all our questions and confirm that no animal testing is happening at any point during production and beyond, they're added to our cruelty-free list.

They can be found in Sephora, Nordstrom, Beautylish, and lots of other beauty department stores. Charlotte Tilbury is not well known in the cruelty-free beauty community. A lot of people are surprised when they found out that not only is Charlotte Tilbury cruelty-free but that there are a lot of Charlotte Tilbury vegan products as well. The term “ethical” is gaining traction in beauty and fashion circles, with consumers demanding more transparency from companies about how they make and sell their products. We cannot guarantee that our products and ingredients have not come into contact with gluten-derived ingredients during the manufacturing process.

Charlotte Tilbury’s mission is to empower all women to be the most confident and beautiful versions of themselves, and their products work to accentuate your natural beauty rather than hide it. To make things easy for you, you can shop for these products by clicking directly on the images, the shopping buttons, and of course, the text links. I’ll be sharing some of my top product picks from Charlotte Tilbury that you need to try ASAP, but first, let’s chat about the brand and what it’s all about. If you like to watch makeup tutorials and product reviews on YouTube or TikTok I’m sure you’ve heard of Charlotte Tilbury before.

Although I would like to have more sex and increase my feelings of love, unfortunately, those weren't the scents that spoke to me. I felt most drawn to Joyphoria and Magic Energy, so I typically rotate the two of those into my scent routine. I spritz on my wrists, the back of my neck, down my shirt, and in my hair. Charlotte Tilbury products cannot be purchased in stores in China. Charlotte Tilbury carries a good selection of vegan makeup options.

While Charlotte Tilbury has a lot of products that are not made from animal ingredients that are, hence, vegan, all its products are not 100% vegan. What this means is that, in addition to making no tests on animals, no animal ingredients or derivatives are used in making their products. This year, a lot has been said about Charlotte Tilbury’s cruelty-free status and the possibility or not of having their product tested on animals. We love the slap stick foundation (£17, Lush.com), which delivers medium coverage and is formulated from 14 per cent pigment and 45 per cent coconut oil, leaving a dewy finish.

BEAUTY

Charlotte Tilbury is a cruelty-free beauty company with lots of vegan options. They carry a variety of products including cosmetics and skincare. Their products are available at Sephora as well as the Charlotte Tilbury website. Charlotte Tilbury recently became the center of controversy regarding their cruelty-free status. Logical Harmony did a great job of breaking down Charlotte Tilbury’s cruelty-free status. According to her correspondence with the brand, they maintained their cruelty-free status.

Animal Testing in China – 2023 Update!

I’ve come to love cream eyeshadows because they tend to be super pigmented and apply beautifully thanks to their blendable texture. This bronzer and highlighter palette looks so incredible on the skin and adds tons of glowy dimension. This Airbrush Flawless Foundation has easily joined the ranks as one of my favorite full-coverage foundations of all time. I saw a review of this foundation on my TikTok FYP and I don’t think I’ve ever hit “add to cart” so fast. Of course, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, the perfect slightly pink nude color, is one of the brand’s most popular shades and the Matte Revolution Lipstick edition is so gorg.

Follow the highlighted lines in the graphic below to see how Charlotte Tilbury avoids animal tests while selling some of its cosmetics in China.

With the recent changes to China’s animal testing laws, cosmetic companies can now export and sell some of their cosmetics in China without animal testing only if they meet ALL of the following preconditions first. We must look beyond to ensure none of Charlotte Tilbury’s ingredients or suppliers test on animals. And they don’t sell in any country or under conditions that may require animal testing by law. Today, all its vegan products and ranges are clearly marked on their website once you've selected the product of your choice. However, the brand was sold to Puig in 2020, which conducts animal testing when required by law.

They are now certified as cruelty-free through the Cruelty-Free International Leaping Bunny Program. Curious about what happened to lead to the confusion and what’s going on with the brand now? You can read all about it in the post – Is Charlotte Tilbury Cruelty-Free. Did you know that a lot of Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic products are vegan?

Best Haunted Houses in Los Angeles for Spooky Fun

Paranormal experts say this colonial-era property is haunted to the gills. In the 1970s, the Perron parents and five daughters experienced a demon or poltergeist that physically harmed the family in a plethora of ways, including a scythe falling from a barn beam to nearly decapitate the mother. Ed and Lorraine Warren showed up to tackle the malevolence—events loosely portrayed in the movie The Conjuring.

My goal is to inspire others to get out and find their next adventure in California. Whether it’s escaping to an alpine lake in the Sierras, finding peace among the giant redwoods, or road tripping down the PCH, there’s always more to explore in this beautiful state. Be sure to watch out for SharkMan in this maze experience that should take guests roughly 5 minutes to get through. This is the family-friendly, “spooky” version of the annual Halloween festivities at Knott’s Berry Farm. Each year, the Starlight Bowl transforms into Burbank Haunted Adventure, a family-friendly, extensive Halloween maze.

"I think (it's) really cool that every owner since has just kind of preserved her memory for the space," Putman said. "This is definitely the exact kind of house where you would dream," Gambino said in an interview with USA TODAY. "It's a very special house where people immediately get, you know, emotionally connected when they're there." Designed by LA architect William King and built in 1982, the listing comes with several gathering spaces in and around the home, with charming gardens, a wraparound deck and a garage that could be used as studio space.

Though construction began in the 1850s, the house was only partially finished when it was commandeered in 1861 as a Civil War military hospital. An outbuilding behind the house served as the hospital's morgue, and bodies are rumored to be interred on the home's extensive grounds. After the house finished construction following the war's end, supernatural sightings began; among the spirits occupying the property is Gauche, a French dwarf jester who came to the area in the 16th century.

Detroit restaurants outside of downtown: An insider's guide

detroit house of pancakes

It’s home to iconic Detroit classics such as The Whitney, an old mansion built by a lumber baron, newcomer Vecino with Mexico City fare and the forthcoming Leña offering Spanish-influenced fare. I typically refrain from writing reviews, but my experience at this establishment compels me to share. Finding competent staff is a challenge, and it's clear that this restaurant is understaffed.

About Detroit House of Pancakes

Whether you have a taste for soul food, African dishes or takes on Mexican cuisine fused with Caribbean flavors, Livernois has an abundance of options for you. Adjacent to Corktown is Core City, home to True North, a village of live/work dwellings composed of shipping containers. The area’s culinary community is new, but growing with quality eateries that draw a young, hip crowd. At Café Muse, guests will find a menu of “comfort food with a twist,” made using as many fresh, natural, and locally sourced ingredients as possible. What first started in Oregon in the 1950s turned into a Grosse Pointe Woods superstar in 1962, and has only gotten more popular ever since. With three Metro Detroit locations, The Original House of Pancakes will only leave you satisfied after a breakfast or brunch visit.

An insider’s guide to dining outside of downtown Detroit

A multicultural city surrounded entirely by Detroit, Hamtramck’s food scene is shaped by the immigrant populations that have settled there. Early Polish settlers remain, lending the region’s most popular restaurants for pierogi, potato pancakes and seared kielbasa, while a large Arab presence brings a host of Middle Eastern, namely Yemeni, restaurants to town. On the city’s west side, Livernois Avenue boasts a rich presence of food businesses that reflect the African diaspora.

Hygrade Deli is a no-frills, longtime corned beef diner known for its meat-stacked sandwiches. If you’re a foodie looking to explore the breadth of the area’s up-and-coming restaurant scene, here’s a guide to the region’s culinary communities — plus, some not-to-miss eateries to check out while you’re there. There are rich cultural communities that have served some of the most noteworthy dishes for generations, and neighborhoods garnering more recent acclaim for a new wave of bars and restaurants, bakeries and cafes. Now that you’re familiar with each neighborhood, check out the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Best Restaurants Guide.

The fare runs from high-end upscale French fare to classic bar food from longtime hip spot Northern Lights Lounge on Baltimore Street to newcomer and award-winning Baobab Fare with East African cuisine. Or stop in for a coffee and croissants in North End at the recently opened French-inspired Café Noir. These three areas are east of downtown Detroit with Jefferson as their common border street. Rivertown has several restaurants on or near the water including longstanding Sinbad’s.

Some menu items to note are the sweet Cherry Kijafa or savory spinach crepes, apple, blueberry, or bacon Belgian waffles, or Pigs in a Blanket and banana pancakes. There a quite a few griddled greats offered, from strawberry cheesecake pancakes to banana Nutella crepes and cannoli French toast (sign me up!). If you’re looking for more of a savory option, you can order the village crepes, with tomato, spinach, mushrooms, and feta cheese. Neighboring Southwest Detroit is Chadsey Condon, home to two culinary destinations that are worth a visit. 2023 Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Restaurant of the Year Ladder 4 Wine Bar is a newer addition to the area, serving fine, creative New American dishes with a French sensibility and natural wine to boot.

Over 20 years ago, The Emory was built by hand, with features like the wood bar and seats made from fallen trees from the farm of the owners’ great grandfather, Emory Johnston. They implement items such as seasonal vegetables, egg whites, and goat cheese into the breakfast menu. With the breakfast menu, keep it simple with the buttermilk pancakes or French toast, both served with Michigan-made maple syrup.

The shooter fired on the officers with a high-powered rifle from a second-floor window, ultimately shooting eight and killing four over the course of the standoff before he was shot dead on the front lawn. Kidd also came into coaching after winning an NBA Championship as a player, and making 10x All-Star and 9x All-Defense teams. Players he coached knew of his reputation and grew up watching him play with one of the most advanced basketball IQs on the planet. That means something when it comes to credibility with players and staff, and it's something Redick's career can't replicate. You are the one criticised in the media, you are the one players blame, you have to manage relationships with not only players, but an entire staff while simultaneously staying on the same page as the front office. There isn't another example of someone being appointed as a head coach in NBA history who had no experience working in the front office or as a coach at a high level of basketball, or wasn't an All-Star level player. It appears I might be in the minority, but in this case I am choosing history vs the field.

The Afternoon Rush – Al Wallace – Miles Sanders/Chuba Hubbard’s future in Charlotte?

If Redick had a real passion to be an NBA Head Coach, why hasn't he done a better job of putting himself in position to be a serious candidate? Looking at his CV currently, you can't argue he is under qualified for the position. It isn't the first time Biden has consoled Americans in the wake of tragedies. The four officers were killed this Monday, April 29, in a standoff that occurred when law enforcement arrived at a Charlotte home to serve a felony warrant.

Perhaps this is a favor to help boost Redick's image or keep the league guessing while Charlotte wait for their preferred candidate to finish the playoffs. Or maybe he is a genuine candidate and has made an impression with the owners. If so, I would fully support offering him an assistant coaching role as I do think there are characteristics which would make him a good coach. Rosinski and Yarbro are well-known in Charlotte, providing analysis for several local professional and college teams’ broadcasts.

The speed which some move past that massive, glaring issue is bewildering to me. One of Redick's unique skills is how he articulates his advanced understanding of the game, either on ESPN broadcasts, "The Old Man and The Three" or the "Mind The Game" podcasts. The latter which features LeBron James as co-host, which goes someway to stamping a seal of approval on Redick's character and basketball IQ. I'll admit, before the reported interview with Charlotte, I watched his podcast and thought to myself "He could be an NBA coach if he wanted to be". "They are heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, rushing into harm’s way to protect us," Biden said. It's plausible Redick is a natural, but even those looking at Redick through rose-colored spectacles must admit he would take some time to find his voice and be fully comfortable. They need someone who is able to come in from day one with a crystal clear vision and a confidence they can execute it. With no relevant track record, putting him in charge could only be seen as a huge gamble and the Hornets don't have any house money left. He's not spent three year as an assistant like Pat Riley with the Lakers, or two years as an NBA consultant like Steve Nash did for the Warriors, or a previous career in the front office like Steve Kerr in Phoenix.

Both Kate and William have taken time off from public duties this year due to Kate's health. Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January and then announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Both she and George joined William and Kate for the queen's funeral later that year.

Yet if the company was to lose rights in broadcasting games for the league, he has a clause in his contract that would make him a free agent and able to explore opportunities elsewhere. While appearing on The Really Big Show on ESPN 850 Cleveland, Barkley explained what he did in contract negotiations to safeguard against such a reality. In an interview several months after Charlotte's birth, Kate spoke about how excited family members, including the late queen, were to have a girl join the family.

A stop in Charlotte was reportedly added to the president's itinerary in the wake of the shooting. President Joe Biden will visit Charlotte, North Carolina today to visit the families of the four officers killed in a deadly Monday shootout. Fescoe is cognizant of the fact that consumers do not like being “nickel and dimed” as it pertains to the television viewing experience. Additionally, he expressed his own observations that DirecTV always has an upsell and charges extra for niche packages. In the end, he thinks that it makes fiscal sense for consumers to forsake these companies and make the decisions for themselves as to what they want to watch and the services necessary to render it possible.

Let another team look like the genius and make it work when they hire Al Horford as coach in 2027. In 15 years of following the Hornets I'm yet to see them function at even an average level in terms of strategy, Charlotte have no room for error so don't get cute now. So often the voice of nuance and reason on ESPN's First Take, he's the spiritual representative for educated NBA fans. He has charisma and an excellent good reputation around the league with players and coaches.

Some point to Dallas Head Coach Jason Kidd as the example of how it could work out. But did it workout for his first two coaching stops in Brooklyn and Milwaukee? As soon as he left Milwaukee Budenholzer turned them into perennial playoff contenders and an NBA champion. For Kidd, well he had to rebuild his reputation as an assistant in LA before earning the Dallas position. Due to his lack of physical gifts, Redick was forced to work harder than everyone else and had to think the game at a higher level, two characteristics which will suit him well as a coach.

Apart from Tar Heel fans, many could imagine enjoying Redick's company while drinking some beers at the bar and talking basketball all night. Who is to say that Charles Lee or David Adelman wouldn't have the same impact? The issue is, because they are actually coaching in the NBA, we don't have the same insight into them. Along with Biden's visit and statements on the shooting, there has been a public outpouring of support for Charlotte law enforcement and families of the victims. In the long term, I'm actually optimistic Redick would would make a good head coach, but for anyone making the jump from player into coaching there is a steep learning curve early in their career.

Charlotte is expected to spend her 9th birthday privately with her family in Windsor, where they now live. The young royal made her public debut just hours after her birth at St. Mary's Hospital in London. Kensington Palace on Thursday released a new photo taken by Kate in Windsor in the last few days, according to the palace. Based off the cumulative grades, many experts seem to believe the Carolina Panthers might’ve reached a time or two (or four or five) during the 2024 NFL draft. ESPN Charlotte will now air ESPN Radio’s Keyshawn, JWill, and Zubin in morning drive.
