He installed an automatic rotating closet that houses his illustrious men's fashion collection. He also proudly showcases his favorite pieces along the concrete shelving in the bedroom. The Goldstein Residence is shaped in a meditative way, its serene surrounding is created to complement the design, ponds filled with koi line the edges of the property. Lautner himself was in charge of the design, and has worked on every detail of the house. He even chose the wall coverings as well as the rugs, but also the furniture and the doors. Every single detail of this house is showing the architects work of love and it simply creates this masterpiece of modern architecture.

The Sheats House was built in 1963 for UCLA professor Paul and artist Helen Sheats and their five children. They asked Lautner to give the pool a "camping under the stars" feel, so he stuck Old Fashioned glasses into the concrete roof above; Helen wanted to be able to see the kids swimming, which is why there are windows into the pool from the master bathroom. Over the years the home's striking, screen-friendly interior led it to become famous for its role in numerous music videos and films, most notably starring as pornographer Jackie Treehorn's house in The Big Lebowski. In 2016, Goldstein announced that the home would be donated to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) upon his death.

After Lautner’s house had made its way through the ‘60s and ‘70s, the house had gone through multiple changes by the initial homeowners. It is a concrete room built into the hillside, a skyspace titled ‘Above Horizon’, by artist James Turrell, states LA Weekly. Dressing rooms for film and photo shoots were added to the entranceway of the house, and Goldstein had an infinity tennis court built atop the roof, which he uses regularly.
